St. Louis (PRWEB) April 02, 2013
Shannon D. Wiese, risk advisory services manager, and Carl A. Balderson, senior director of quality assessment services, Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C. (HK), will be speaking at The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Louisville Chapter on April 16, 2013 in Louisville, Ky.
Wiese and Balderson’s presentation, “Quality Assurance and Improvement Program: Audit Process vs. Program: The Difference and Why It Matters,” will discuss recent requirements for Quality Assurance and Improvement Programs (QA&IP) and show participants how to construct a workable, cost-effective QA&IP that meets the conformity test of an external QA.
As newly proposed guidance brings greater reporting requirements for QA&IP, this presentation will discuss the common mistake of considering basic internal audit processes as working components of an audit activity’s QA&IP. Internal auditors will learn what constitutes legitimate components of a successful QA&IP which provide performance measurement and monitoring that move internal audit activities down the path of quality.
