Sofia University Professor Lisa Herman to Present “Between Hope and Despair: Co-Creating with Disturbing Images” at ISIS Canada

Sofia University (formerly Institute of Transpersonal Psychology) professor Lisa Herman will conduct a lecture and presentation titled, “Between Hope and Despair: Co-Creating with Disturbing Images,” at the International School of Interdisciplinary Studies in Canada (ISIS Canada). The event will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at ISIS Canada headquarters in Toronto.

Lisa Herman, Ph.D., is Director of Creative Expression and Executive Core Faculty at Sofia University. She is also core faculty at Meridian University in Petaluma and adjunct faculty at ISIS Canada.

Herman’s presentation and lecture will focus on disturbing images – specifically, ways in which individuals respond to these images – acknowledging their power and yet opening up possibilities for human creativity. Those who attend the event will be invited to explore the surprises that emerge when playing with disturbing images. The event is free and open to the public.

ISIS Canada is a training institute in intermodal expressive arts therapy. Classified as a private career college, ISIS Canada is a member of the International Network of Expressive Arts Therapy Training Centers that interconnects institutes in North and South America, Europe and the Middle East.
