Sofia University (formerly the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology) professor Ryan Rominger has been invited to serve on the Academic Editorial Review Board for SAGE Publications (London Division). In this capacity, Ryan will be reviewing between twenty-five and thirty-five research cases for the project, called “Cases in Methodology,” which is a large collection of research cases in many different academic areas.
Founded in 1965, SAGE is the world’s leading independent academic and professional publisher. SAGE publishes over 700 journals, including those of over 298 learned societies and institutions, and over 800 books a year across a broad range of subject areas including business, humanities, social sciences, and science, technology, and medicine.
Ryan Rominger, Ph.D., is an assistant professor at Sofia University. His research experience includes romantic acts and the priming effect in research, integration of exceptional experiences through the use of group spiritual guidance and group expressive arts, use of spirituality scales with individuals who have had exceptional experiences, and assessing both diversity within higher education and institutional change due to research on diversity within higher education. Ryan is currently focusing on transformation, the integration of exceptional experiences, parent-child relationships among individuals who report a near-death experience, working with research methods that honor the expressive arts and social action, and the use of online technology in transpersonal higher education.
Regarding his new role with SAGE, Rominger commented, “I look forward to engaging SAGE in this review process and connecting with other researchers outside our immediate academic field, as well as bringing new awareness to our own Sofia U research community.”
