Southlake, TX (PRWEB) April 09, 2013
On May 10th, 2013, the Beam Foundation will host the 8th annual golf tournament to help raise funds to support the Texas Alliance for Homeless Pets, an organization created to resolve the underlying issues of pet overpopulation in Texas. The tournament will take place at Texas Star Golf Course in Euless, Texas and will be followed by dinner, awards, a silent auction and an exciting show put on by K-9’s in Flight- “homeless to high-flying”.
The Texas Alliance for Homeless Pets is a coalition of animal welfare organizations, corporations, individuals and civil servants who have come together to facilitate change. In the metroplex alone, 30,000 healthy pets are euthanized each year (over 4 million nationwide). The coalition’s mission is to find every pet a healthy and happy home by addressing the problem from the bottom-up. Texas Alliance for Homeless Pets is making measurable progress and gaining momentum on the matter by educating the public and providing the Texas population with a way to make a difference.
Looking for a way to help? Register for the golf outing, visit the website, join the conversation on Facebook, and help spread the word about the staggering issue of pet overpopulation. The organization is opening up the golf invitation to the general public for a brief time and spots are filling up quickly. The Texas Alliance for Homeless Pets, an organization within the Beam Foundation, was created to increase awareness and find every animal a forever home. As the first step in the initiative, a coalition of animal welfare groups in Dallas and Tarrant counties was created. What one person or group can’t do alone, a large group comprised of passionate individuals or groups can accomplish. Learn how you can join the efforts at http://www.PetsInTexas.org.
