Banyan Water is proud to present Gables Grandview, a Gables Residential property, with the 2012 Excellence in Water Conservation Award.
Despite a record drought in Texas, Gables Grandview was a leader in water conservation excellence. By utilizing Banyan’s service team and technology, Gables Grandview reduced irrigation usage by 75% or 10,103,000 gallons in 2012. This equates to the amount of water needed to fill 15 Olympic swimming pools! This has not only helped increase net operating income, but has helped the surrounding community.
This is especially important due to:
- Our clean water supply is diminishing while Texas’ population continues to increase
- Water rates in Austin have risen by 96% over the past 12 years and are likely to keep rising
- By being proactive and taking the lead in irrigation conservation, Gables Grandview is helping prevent the water crisis while saving money and supporting local communities
