Instapps Aims to Introduce Facebook Commerce for Online Sellers

Offers simple way to set up a fully customizable and integrated Facebook store, tentative launch date revealed

Instapps Sdn. Bhd., a Penang-based internet commerce company, recently announced the production of its currently-in-beta project aimed at aiding budding internet entrepreneurs to create a Facebook store, as a means of extending commerce facilities unto the social media platform.

Jason Gan, CEO of Instapps, said his team recognized the need for a simple solution for online sellers to not only sell, but also ride on the branding muscle of Facebook. His team began working on a social apps tool that would help online businesses back in 2010 and the effort culminated in the creation of Instapps, a Facebook commerce (or F-commerce) platform.

Instapps uses a state-of-the-art Social Commerce Suite which comes with a fully functional inventory management system and PayPal payment facilities. Being integrated onto Facebook means the store comes with social sharing buttons that allow store owners and customers alike to share products with their friends on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, Pinterest and more.

While still in beta stage, Instapps is already available for sign-up under four packages – FREE, Basic, Advanced and Expert. Except for FREE, all other packages come under a monthly or yearly subscription fee. Visitors to http://www.instapps.com will also find a helpful video tutorial that takes users on a step-by-step guide to set up their new Facebook store. Even at its beta stage, Instapps has accumulated over 500 users, including paid users, to use the social commerce tool.

Among other unique features of Instapps include automatically generated sales reports, an easy to manage customer management system (CMS) and simple product categorization tools that take the manual labor out of owning an online store.

“At the moment, we are still finalizing the beta stage and will be perfecting it until the official launch this coming June 2013, which will see Instapps packed with more ‘game-changing’ features than present,” Gan added.
