When my dad was diagnosed with depression, I wished there was someone besides his doctor who could tell me what to do to help him get better.

Since the launch of his self-help book at the Amazon Kindle bookstore, Felix Freeman has seen the success of his first book. The motivation behind the book was simple – he wanted others who have a depressed family member or friend, know what to do to be a helpful support during the experience.
During his free book promotion last month, “How to Help Someone with Depression” saw more than 1000 downloads in one day.
“The number of downloads reveal that there is a demand for such information. I understand this, because when my dad was diagnosed with depression, I wished there was someone besides his doctor who could tell me what to do to help him get better,” shares Freeman.
The self-published author intends to celebrate this milestone by running another similar campaign this weekend, where anyone with a Kindle reader can download his ebook for free. The book regularly sells at $2.99 on the US website.
The April promotion runs for 3 days from 6 April to 8 April 2013 and is exclusively available at the Amazon Kindle bookstore.
“I believe that there are many others out there who are unaware of my book yet. So I hope that this time, I will be able to get more downloads and expand my reach,” said the author.
Freeman has also changed his ebook cover for this launch, in hopes of making his successful book more attractive to those who browse for such topics on the Amazon website.
