Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 05, 2013
BigHand, a global leader in voice productivity for legal professionals, has today announced that it has appointed Eric Wangler as President of its U.S. and Canadian business units. Mr. Wangler joins BigHand with over 15 years of experience in the legal vertical marketplace, most recently with global company, Ricoh, where he was Vice President of Ricoh America’s legal vertical segment. The addition of Mr. Wangler follows BigHand’s recent acquisition of US-based Verdatum’s dictation workflow solution and both moves signify BigHand’s continued investment in the U.S. and Canada.
Jon Ardron, CEO of BigHand, commented on the announcement, saying: “BigHand has been a part of the U.S. and Canadian legal technology communities since 2006 and the entire team is delighted that so many legal organizations in North America now rely on our solutions. The acquisition of Verdatum has accelerated our growth further and we will continue to make investments in our U.S. and Canadian businesses that will drive further growth and deliver exceptional client care. We have always focused on attracting and retaining the very best talent and Eric’s breadth of experience in leading successful businesses in the legal vertical space will be integral as we continue to build our North American presence. We are very excited to bring Eric on board and welcome him to the BigHand team.”
The North American business unit has seen steady year-on-year growth since its entry into the US and Canadian marketplace in 2006. The organization has been consistently recognized for its client service and market share by industry-led organizations such as the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA).
Mr. Wangler will be responsible for overseeing the current existing client base in addition to the aggressive organic growth BigHand has its sights set on. Mr. Wangler commented on his new role saying, “I am thrilled to be joining BigHand, and am looking forward to leading an already successful team. What attracted me most to the company is the feedback from our clients regarding their overall experience with BigHand's products and service delivery. BigHand's reputation for innovation, quality and client service is nearly flawless. Our opportunity to grow is based on our ability to help our clients be more productive, which is truly a win-win.”
Mr. Wangler joins BigHand team members located in both Chicago and Toronto. For additional information or interviews, please contact Allison Stegich at allison(dot)stegich(at)bighand(dot)com.
