The Institute for Excellence in Sales & Business Development (IES&BD) announced today that two of the selling industry’s top authors and accomplished speakers will be featured at its 3rd annual award event on April 12 in Tyson’s Corner, VA. Tom Snyder will be the featured keynote speaker at the event and Ian Altman will be the emcee.
Tom Snyder is an internationally recognized author, researcher, consultant and speaker on the subject of sales excellence. He is the author of two McGraw Hill best sellers, “Escaping the Price Driven Sale” (2007) and “Selling in a New Market Space” (2010). Ian Altman is the author of the best-selling “Upside Down Selling” and is an in-demand speaker on sales, business development, and corporate growth topics.

The awards will be presented at the 3rd annual breakfast event on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the USA Today/Gannett Headquarters in Tysons Corner, VA. Awards will be given in five categories: Excellence in Sales Innovation; Sales Training; Customer Partnering; Sales Management; and Alliance Management. The event will also feature the presentation of the 3rd annual IES&BD Lifetime Achievement Award to IBM Federal Division General Manager Anne Altman.
Award finalists include Cisco, Xerox, Learning Tree International, Blackboard, Deltek, CEB, TriNet, and MicroTech.
