The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGCNW) will host its 19th annual Humanitarian Award Dinner on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Lexus of Mount Kisco in Mount Kisco, New York. The Club will honor Jim and Ashley Diamond as the 2013 Humanitarians of the Year and John Bueti as the John Beach Award recipient. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Club’s programs and services.
James A. Diamond is CEO of Diamond Properties, LLC, a company he co-founded in 1995. Jim is also a director and partner in RDI, Inc., an electronics engineering and manufacturing company that he co-founded in 1989. RDI, Inc., with offices in Mount Kisco New York, also owns Shenzhen RDI, a manufacturing facility located in Shenzhen, China. In 1998, Jim co-founded Xanboo Inc., a software company providing end-to-end technology solutions allowing users to command and control any type of enabled device or appliance over the Internet, which was sold to AT&T in 2010. Jim graduated with Honors and a B.A. in History from Princeton University and is a trustee of St. Paul’s School, in Concord New Hampshire; Rippowam Cisqua School in Bedford; Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco; Bedford 2020 in Bedford; and Ability Beyond Disability in Danbury, Connecticut.
Ashley Diamond is co-founder of the newly formed Bedford Hills-based wine company Vine & Co. Previously, Ashley served as marketing manager for Frontline Marketing until 2004 before deciding to dedicate more time to family. Ashley remains actively involved in the community, having served on several committees including the Northern Westchester Hospital Annual Gala Steering Committee from 2009-2011 and as co-chair of the Gala in 2009. In 2012, she served as a member of the Annual Benefit Dinner Committee for the Katonah Museum of Art. Ashley is a graduate of George Mason University.
Jim and Ashley currently live in Katonah, New York with their two daughters.
John Bueti began working in the wine and spirits industry in 1993, serving in the sales department at Banti Vintners. In 1995, John decided to expand his role within the industry and bought Mt. Kisco Wines & Spirits. Now co-owner of the company for 17 years, John regularly supports local charities. A dedicated alumnus, John supports the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester while also lending his efforts to the Junior League of Northern Westchester. John and his wife Christine live in Chappaqua, New York with their two children.
The dinner is open to all by advance registration. The cocktail reception begins at 7:00p.m., followed by a sit down dinner, award presentation, live and silent auctions and dancing.
Highlights this year include several celebrity guests including television’s Elyse Luray who will serve as the evening’s auctioneer. Luray has served as an appraiser on a number of network shows including HGTV’s “The Longest Yard Sale” and “If Walls Could Talk.”
