Called “Marriott Jobs in Europe,” the app offers a unique look at the career opportunities available at Marriott International, while providing tools and resources to help young people discover which hospitality career path is right for them. The app is now available on the Apple® App Store™ in English, French, German and Russian.
Marriott Jobs in Europe showcases personal and authentic stories of real-life employees and builds on the brand’s “where I belong” campaign, also created by Evviva. Prospective employees get to hear from a General Manager, Sales Director, Housekeeping Supervisor and others as they share details about what they do, how they got to where they are, what inspires them, and more. By empowering users to explore the different career paths available to them, Marriott hopes to lower its talent acquisition costs and streamline its employee recruitment.
“We wanted to engage the next generation of job seekers using the mediums that are most relevant and appealing to them, while doing so in a way that resonates with their interests and values,” said Osama Hirzalla, Vice President Brand Marketing & eCommerce (Europe) for Marriott International. “Evviva helped us develop a rich and informative mobile experience targeted to today’s younger, more technologically savvy audiences, thus enhancing our brand and optimizing our recruitment process.”
The app features exclusive information about the Marriott family of brands and the employee-first management philosophy that has enabled the company to be named a Fortune 100 Best Company to Work For 16 straight years. Users will also find important details on 20 career paths, ranging from accounting and finance to event management and rooms operations, with a breakdown of potential positions within each path. Job seekers can then search for available positions within Marriott or stay connected with the company via social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
