The nursing field continues to dominate the industry in terms of job openings with 62,308 nursing jobs.
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) April 08, 2013
The net employment gain for the economy stood at a paltry 88,000 in March, according to the jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The only relatively bright spot seems to be the healthcare industry.
The BLS report notes that 23,000 jobs were added in the healthcare industry in March. Job search website HealthcareCrossing.com has been able to track down 371,000 healthcare jobs as of April 8. The site works exclusively on researching healthcare market trends and tracking down healthcare job openings.
The nursing field continues to dominate the industry in terms of job openings with 62,308 nurse jobs. Much of the demand is also for healthcare coordinator jobs (8,884) and healthcare supervisor jobs (5,398). Healthcare technician jobs are also in high demand with the website being able to track down 12,129 jobs for that job profile.
HealthcareCrossing.com CEO Harrison Barnes shares his view on the jobs in this field, “The healthcare industry is bound to grow bigger in the next few years because of government policies and the boomer generation needing more medical attention. So it is no wonder that this industry continues to create jobs at a rapid space.”
