Mr. Gupta, based in Singapore, joins Australia-based Tim Dillon as part of the Asia Pacific executive team to develop the company’s business in the region.

Mr. Gupta spent a number of years in leadership roles across IDC in Asia Pacific. In his most recent role he was the Regional Vice President and Head of Sales for IDC Asia Pacific driving significant revenue growth and geographic expansion during his tenure. As part of this role, he was responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the business in the region comprising of 14 countries. He was also a founding member of IDC’s Emerging Technology Council that consisted of a core executive team that defines the direction for IDC’s emerging trends research. Mr. Gupta was also responsible for launching and managing IDC’s Asia Pacific CXO peer network and advisory service platform in Singapore. In 2011, Amit spearheaded the transition towards setting up IDC’s wholly-owned subsidiary in the Indian market.
Mr. Gupta moved into the regional role following a period as Managing Director for IDC New Zealand. His other responsibilities with IDC have included overseeing consulting for Australia & New Zealand, prior to which he managed consulting and sales in New Zealand. Mr.Gupta brings a unique set of expertise in general management with his experience as a consultant, a commercial leader and a former entrepreneur. His specific areas of technology expertise span the IT Services market opportunity and ICT industry buyer behavior.
