People love to watch him play, he offers endless funny stories about the game and his plays often end profitably. He’s Dr. Blackjack.

In his new book Ask Dr. Blackjack, author Sam Barrington, aka Dr. Blackjack, provides guidelines to making the gambling dollar go further without smoke and mirrors.

“Casinos offer nice perks if you know what you’re doing,” says Barrington. “But the best gambling comes from solid fundamentals and logical thinking, despite movie depictions.”

His book explores blackjack nuts and bolts with real stories to support each tip to help the reader remember how to play the hand in similar situations.

About the author
Sam Barrington, the president of a large commercial parking company, has played blackjack for more than 30 years. He keeps a log of every casino he’s played in, including some of the most prestigious in the world, to continue to improve his game. Although once banned from 46 casinos, he says his success comes not from shortcuts but from treating blackjack as a business and running it accordingly.
