J. J. Bear is a little teddy bear with a big problem: He doesn’t know where he is, but he knows it isn’t home.

In her new book J. J. Bear, author Tosca M. Schauer shares a delightful children’s story told from the perspective of a teddy bear. Determined to leave the warehouse he’s living in, J. J. Bear tries to find children to take care of him.

“The machinery, noise and factory trucks conveyed invite you to experience the story with J. J. Bear,” says Schauer. “After a fur-raising ride on a forklift, you see why he needs a family.”

The story, based on a teddy bear Schauer “rescued” from a warehouse, vividly describes the joy of a loving family and safe home.

J. J. Bear, who receives help from his cat friend, also shows the importance of friendship, loyalty and determination to children.
