York County just got a little greener. Recycling Perks, a nationwide recycling incentive program, is being introduced to the residents of York County. The Recycling Perks program rewards curbside recyclers with points that accumulate at each collection and can be redeemed for coupons at a wide variety of local restaurants and retailers.
The program works by providing points to participating households based on how often their recycling container is at the curb for pick up. The information is then systematically converted to points that can be redeemed online at http://www.RecyclingPerks.com
“Recycling Perks is all about rewarding people for recycling, increasing recycling and supporting the communities we serve. Recycling Perks is available to over 400,000 households and the number of subscribers continues to grow,” said Recycling Perks President, Bill Dempsey.
York County residents will be the latest to join hundreds of thousands of other customers state-wide already participating the popular incentive program.
“Residents are excited at the type and variety of rewards they redeem. Recycling Perks users will save up to $9,000,000 this year alone while creating local jobs and growing local revenue. We are excited to add York County, its businesses, and residents to the Recycling Perks program!” Dempsey added.
Businesses are being invited to participate for free, simply by offering a reward for recycling as a Reward Partner. The “Buy Local” concept is a key component to the rewards program.
