Brentwood, Tenn. (PRWEB) April 18, 2013
Two Quorum Health Resources (QHR) client hospital CEOs were recognized among Becker's Hospital Review's "60 Hospital and Health System CEOs with the Longest Tenures." The QHR CEOs that made the list include; Doug McMillan, CEO of QHR client hospital West Park Hospital (Cody, Wyo.) and Dennis Wolford, CEO of QHR client hospital Macon County General Hospital (Lafayette, Tenn.). Becker's Hospital Review's "Longest Tenures" list highlights healthcare CEOs who have tenures exceeding 11 years.
"The average tenure of a hospital CEO is about four years," said QHR President and CEO James L. Horrar. "Doug McMillan and Dennis Wolford have demonstrated a commitment to their hospitals and communities to provide value and stability even as the healthcare industry has seen dramatic changes."
Of the recognition, Doug McMillan, CEO of West Park Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital, said, "It is an honor to be part of an organization that is both excellent to work for and an excellent place for patients and their families to receive care." Mr. McMillan has served as West Park Hospital's CEO since 1997, making his tenure one of the longest of any hospital CEO in Wyoming.
Also on the list is Mr. Wolford, CEO of Macon County General Hospital, a 25-bed critical access facility. "Macon County is a hospital committed to continually improving services to meet our community healthcare needs," said Mr. Wolford. "It is a privilege to have served the citizens of Macon County since 1984."
Becker's Hospital Review based their list of CEOs with the longest tenures on analysis from the following sources: previous lists of leaders, accepted peer and self-nominations, and interviewed healthcare industry experts for president and CEOs.
