Share Article (CRX) encourages its agencies and renters to rent smaller, fuel-efficient cars which translates into less expensive and cleaner burning. The savings realized over the life of a fuel-efficient car are more than just the dollars saved, this also results in less pollution and fewer breathing-related illnesses.

The US and Canada use a disproportionate amount of the world’s oil and its derived products (gasoline and motor oil) for transportation. The personal car in general is one of the world’s worst polluters because of the huge number of cars on the road at any one time. Everyone should do their part and only use their cars when necessary. Walk, ride a bike, take public transportation, and the benefits to the individual and the air quality will become apparent in a short time.

There are times though that driving the family car or renting a car from is very necessary. As we go into the summer rental-driving season, the number of cars on the highways will grow exponentially. To help combat the resulting pollution increase, rent a car from that is as fuel efficient as possible. Not only will the air quality be better, but also the cost for both the car and the fuel will be much less in comparison to a full size vehicle.
