Northbound Treatment Services, a provider of comprehensive treatment services and rehab treatment for a variety of addictions, recently attended the 4th Annual Collegiate Recovery Conference, that took place April 3-5 at Texas Tech University.
The Recovery Conference was hosted by the Center for the Study of Addiction and Recovery and is supported by the McKenzie Lectureship Series.
The conference featured in-depth roundtable discussions and keynote addresses with some of the most prominent and well-respected figures in the field of addiction recovery. Key speakers included Ovidio Bermudez, Medical Director of Child & Adolescent Services and Chief Medical Officer at the Eating Recovery Center in Denver, Colorado and Peter Gaumond, Chief of the Recovery Branch at the Office of National Drug Control Policy (Executive Office of the President). Topics covered by the three day conference included neuroscience and addiction recovery, the issue of addiction on college campuses and eating disorders.
