one of only a few truly multidisciplinary evidence-based practice texts to meet the needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in inter-professional courses.

Sydney, New South Wales (PRWEB) April 18, 2013

A fully revised new edition of 'Evidence-Based Practice Across the Health Professions' will help even more health professions students find and use evidence to inform their decision-making in future careers.

Completely updated and expanded, this second edition covers three new health disciplines – human movement & exercise science, pharmacy and paramedicine – bringing the book’s total to 12.

This edition’s extensive new content addresses current trends in health professional education, appealing to a greater proportion of students and introductory clinicians.

Though evidence-based practice is now commonplace in most health professions, this second edition addresses criticism of the practice.

Additional new material in this larger-format paperback includes: a chapter on embedding evidence-based practice into routine clinical care; new clinical scenarios; and more examples of systematic reviews.

Coupled with the wealth of respected content carried over from the first edition, this new material will help arm students with the knowledge and skills required to become committed evidence-based clinicians who understand the importance and implications of evidence-based practice in the overall healthcare environment.

Published four years after its first edition, this new edition of 'Evidence-based Practice Across the Health Professions' remains one of only a few truly multidisciplinary evidence-based practice texts to meet the needs of undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in inter-professional courses.

The book is again written by local authors Tammy Hoffman, Sally Bennett and Chris Del Mar, assisted by an impressive list of Australian and international expert contributors writing on topics such as nursing, CAMS and qualitative evidence-based practice.

Summary points at chapter-end and complementary content on Elsevier’s Evolve platform will further assist students learning to source the best-available evidence to support key decisions on patient care.
