Nothing Bundt Cakes Santa Monica introduces new owners, Suzanne Kempf and Cindy Burger, who have returned home to run this bakery specializing in bundt cakes. They will host a series of fun events to reacquaint themselves with the community and donate money to local organization, Heal the Bay.

Santa Monica, CA – April 16, 2013 – One-of-a-kind Nothing Bundt Cakes – a bakery specializing in nostalgic yet refreshingly modern Bundt cakes − opened in Santa Monica a little more than two years ago, but at the time, Suzanne Kempf and Cindy Burger would not know that this bakery would become so important to them. The two sisters, who had both found themselves in Texas, were looking for a way to get back to Santa Monica and this bakery specializing in Bundts was the answer to their prayers.

Born and raised in Santa Monica, Suzanne recalls the longing she had for getting back home, “It’s so unbelievable that my sister and I fell into this amazing opportunity to work together, in our hometown of Santa Monica, with a brand that we both absolutely love.” Suzanne cites the flavorful freshness of the cakes and the warm friendly customer service that lured her and sister, Cindy, to look seriously at the venture. Now that they are the owners of the bakery located at 927 Montana Avenue, Kempf says, “I’m glad to know that you truly can have your cake and eat it too.”

In an effort to re-acquaint themselves with the community, the sisters will host an upcoming series of “Bubbles & Bundts” that will support the important efforts of Heal The Bay in celebration of April Earth Month. Each Friday for four weeks, the bakery will offer samples of their delicious cakes paired with Barefoot Bubbly from 5-7 p.m. And, 20% of sales from all four Fridays (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) will go to Heal The Bay and their efforts to protect the bay from Malibu to Palos Verdes.
