Xcel Distributions is a pleased to announce exceptional, even exponential growth, in 2013 and through the course of the Great Recession of 2008 to the present day. Highlights of Xcel’s successes through the recession include managing a profitable website, Foreverbamboo.com, doubling staff size over the last three years, relocating business to a large 75,000 sq. ft. facility to accommodate inventory and manage distributions, increases of total asset value by greater than 100%, operating the business without debt, and being committed to a philosophy of distributing sustainable, eco-friendly products.

Forever Bamboo started out as distributor of backyard, decorative and commercial bamboo products. With a keen eye on eliminating debt and keeping the company whole, Forever Bamboo has grown into a sizable ecommerce presence. A few years ago, following the successes of reducing importing costs and artfully negotiated distribution channels, Forever Bamboo made the transition from being a commercial supplier only to direct sales to consumers. This move, more than any other, has added to the overall success and growth of Xcel Distribution and Forever Bamboo.

Speaking of Xcel’s success, the President of Xcel Distribution, Steven Raketich has said, “During a recessionary and post recessionary market, I made the following decisions to grow our inventory levels, increase direct marketing campaigns, establish reseller accounts, and relocate to a facility seven times larger than our previous warehouse. Many competitors elected to cut back on products and services, while we were growing in all aspects, including additional staffing.”

Steven accredits his growth to smart business ventures that allows for competitive drop shipping, offering focused and precise products and not spreading his company too thin. Much like the renewable resources of his bamboo products, Steve believes that a company must grow and learn to bend to the economic situations around them to thrive.

The growth of the Xcel Distribution and Forever Bamboo is very promising and Steve predicts that the growth will continue throughout the next year. Forever Bamboo has already conquered many difficulties that have brought down numerous companies, and Steve has learned from their recent successes.
