New York, N.Y. (PRWEB) April 19, 2013
American Independence Financial Services, LLC (American Independence), an independent investment manager based in New York, announced today that asset management industry veteran Keith A. Fletcher has joined the firm as Vice Chairman and a member of the executive committee.
Fletcher has spent the last three decades in senior leadership roles, building sales, marketing and product teams for both traditional and alternative investment products. He was recently Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Product Management for Security Global and Rydex Investments (later Guggenheim Investments), where he was responsible for the company’s exchange traded products, mutual funds and other related products.
“Keith has a strong track record of consistently enhancing value for all stakeholders. We believe that he will play an important role in helping us take advantage of emerging investment strategies that have the potential to help investors in the post-2008 market environment,” said American Independence Managing Partner John Pileggi. “Keith is one of the few executives with hands-on experience in mutual funds, separate accounts, hedge funds and ETFs. We’re thrilled to have him join the firm.”
Prior to his work at Guggenheim, Fletcher was Managing Director at Lyster Watson, responsible for marketing funds of hedge funds. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer for Van Eck Global. He has also held senior sales and marketing positions at Fidelity Investments and Furman Selz Asset Management. He started his career as an Institutional Marketing Manager for the Dreyfus Corporation.
