Dental care is so important to so many people. I am proud to be a part of this event.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 19, 2013
It is often said that the greatest benefit of charity is seeing the smiles on the faces of those helped. Runners from the Dallas area will literally be putting smiles on the faces of others through Miles for Smiles runathon this Saturday, April 19, at the University of Texas at Dallas.
Many Americans take superior dental care for granted; however, there are many families for whom dental care is simply out of their reach. Each year, runners from the Dallas community, the University of Texas at Dallas Pre-Dental Association, and Baylor College of dentistry team up for a runathon to raise money for those in the greater Dallas community who cannot afford dental care. This year, the event has some new talent joining in on the cause: the pre-dental associations from SMU, TCU, UTA, and UNT.
100 percent of the contributions made to the runners competing in Miles for Smiles will go towards the Baylor College of Dentistry Social Services Dental Care Fund. One man, in particular, is dedicated to seeing the smiles of others. Adam Prewett, of Prewett Financial Services, a financial planning firm that focuses on retirement planning, investments, and life insurance, is the capital sponsor of the event. Prewett says of his involvement, "Dental care is so important to so many people. I am proud to be a part of this event."
Anyone who wants to show their support for the cause can register to run, donate, or simply come cheer on the runners.
