LocationInsight, a leading provider of location marketing technology for large advertisers, announced that Scott D. Nelson has been named Vice President of Client Services.
In this position, Mr. Nelson will lead the organization’s efforts to provide a world-class experience and grow broader relationships with both existing and new clients. In addition, he is committed to building a scalable service model to accommodate LocationInsight’s growing volume of business.
“Having the right relationship with our clients is everything in this business. Scott’s impressive resume and experience is demonstrative of our commitment to invest in our people and continue to bring value to our partners,” said Ari Kaufman, CEO of LocationInsight. “Scott is a veteran who has worked with a number of key industry players and has helped to shape the world of online advertising over the last decade. We’re excited to have him on board and leading our client services team.”
Before joining LocationInsight, Mr. Nelson held various positions for a number of startup, medium-sized and Fortune 500 companies. In 2002, he cofounded TruEffect, where he served as both COO and CPO while innovating the first-party ad technology that is now a standard in online media. During this time, he was also a champion for protecting consumer rights within the advertising industry by working with the Federal Trade Commission, legislators, regulators and experts across the world.
Prior to TruEffect, Mr. Nelson led the Enterprise Account practice at MatchLogic and was responsible for teams supporting multimillion-dollar clients, including General Motors, Nokia, Radio Shack, Infiniti, Charles Schwab and TD Waterhouse. His broad exposure to all aspects of consumer influence began in 1986 while spending 13 years with General Motors in various wholesale, marketing and advertising positions.
“In an industry that, in years past, has seen some unscrupulous practices at times, it’s an honor to work for a company with such a high level of integrity and one that’s considered a leader in the local search marketing space,” stated Mr. Nelson. “I look forward to working with all of LocationInsight’s outstanding list of clients and introducing new ones to the innovative approach, technology and solutions we have to offer.”
Mr. Nelson holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Iowa State University.
