Wenning has been a valuable contributor with NuGrowth almost since its inception. She started as an inside sales executive in 2007, and played an important role in securing Strategic Insurance Software as a client. Strategic Insurance Software was subsequently acquired by NuGrowth and now operates under the NuGrowth umbrella. As the organizations began to grow she was instrumental in developing the recruiting and organizational development arm of the businesses. Today, in addition to overseeing hiring, Wenning is the human resources liaison for both companies and leads NuGrowth Solutions’ philanthropic arm, NuGrowth Community.
She enjoys playing such an important role in the growth of NuGrowth Solutions and SIS.
“I enjoy being part of an organization that fosters trust and embraces change. It is very rewarding to be part of a team that values each individual’s strengths. It’s a results oriented culture that knows the key to growth is empowering their talent and providing opportunities to learn and perform,” she said. “When I started in 2007, there were six cubicles. Now, we are close to filling our nearly 17,000 square foot office space with individuals that enjoy their work and competing with their team. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the growth of NuGrowth Solutions and SIS.”
Wenning brings energy and enthusiasm into everything she does, from hiring the right people, to organizing team building and philanthropic events. As an example, she recently led a lighthearted inter-office competition in order to raise food and funds for the Mid Ohio Foodbank. That effort alone resulted in a donation of nearly 7,000 meals to the hungry in central Ohio.
Another recent accomplishment is the addition of NuGrowth and SIS to Ohio State University’s JobReady for Ohio program, which helps connect central Ohio college students with internships and co-ops.
