Bloomfield Hills, MI (PRWEB) April 24, 2013
The Acme Group is happy to announce that a new filter and recycling program is being implemented for Metaldyne LLC at its Litchfield, Michigan facility. By using Great Lakes Filters’ exclusive NeuBond Recyclable Filtration Media in conjunction with their recycling partner Preferred Filter Recycling, this program will eliminate the disposition of spent filters. NeuBond can be used for all types of liquid, air, dust and overspray applications and is available in rolls and cut-to-fit sizes with reusable frames. The program will be rolled out at Metaldyne’s facility in Litchfield, Michigan and will recycle spent air and liquid filters, keeping over 25,000 pounds of industrial waste filter materials out of the landfill each year.
Great Lakes Filters, already serving Metaldyne, saw an opportunity to help with the company’s green footprint. Along with PFR, Great Lakes Filters developed a program to help the 212,000 SF Metaldyne facility eliminate the waste stream in an environmentally conscience and economical way.
After an extensive survey of the facility, Great Lakes Filters showed how the NeuBond recyclable filter media can be utilized to increase the cleanliness levels, allowing for a seamless changeover to the NeuBond product line. “We adhere to a shipping schedule and deliver new filters at the same time we collect the used filters to recycle them as well as the paper from the boxes, which is a more efficient process for Metaldyne and keeps the used filters out of landfills,” said Christopher Chrzanowski, lead sales for Great Lakes Filters on this project.
