AUSTIN, TEXAS (PRWEB) April 24, 2013
Today, Kimbia Racing announced the successful completion of a project to replace Ragnar Events, LLC’s legacy race system with a solution that combines industry best practices built into Kimbia’s flexible race platform with custom features that meet Ragnar’s unique needs. Customized solutions are famous for going over time and budget. But that was not the case for Kimbia and Ragnar. The project started in October 2012, and three months later, on Jan. 21, 2013, Kimbia was powering registration for Ragnar Trail Zion, the overnight running and camping adventure scheduled for April 26-27, 2013, at Zion Ponderosa Ranch, Utah.
With the largest overnight running relay series including races that draw up to 7,800 runners and a unique brand that is based on forming trusted relationships, it was especially important to Ragnar that its new solution be extremely robust and user-friendly for both its staff and event participants. Additionally, the Kimbia platform is designed to support Ragnar’s international expansion plans.
“Kimbia is a great partner,” said Jennifer Whiting, Chief Marketing Officer, Ragnar Events. “They became a trusted advisor and an extension of our team. They helped create the concept, extracted requirements, developed and thoroughly tested everything. As a result, the functionality exceeded our expectations, and we are able to provide the superior participant experience that we envisioned.”
“Ragnar relays are fun, challenging and rewarding events, just like this project,” said Simon Essl, General Manager, Kimbia Racing. “We’re proud to have partnered with Ragnar and successfully completed a custom solution built on our platform that meets their exact needs and puts them in complete control of their strong brand.”
