We focus on assisting the most vulnerable populations in creating a better life for themselves, and veterans are among the most susceptible to problems like homelessness.
Plantation, FL (PRWEB) April 26, 2013
Plantation insurance agent Nancy Wolfe-Smith was selected to be the new Vice President of Positive Images Enterprises, a South Florida non-profit organization whose mission is to empower women, men, and their families to become self-sufficient, through a variety of programs designed to support vulnerable people in the most critical ways.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to expand my leadership role with Positive Images,” said Nancy, who was elected to its Board of Directors last year. “Our organization aids thousands of individuals and families throughout South Florida, and I’m excited to take on these new responsibilities in service of our community.”
Nancy’s work as Vice President will focus on the fundraising aspect of Positive Images, which is vital to its ability to continue to increase its programs and offerings for those in need. This year, Positive Images is expanding its reach to include homeless veterans.
“We focus on assisting the most vulnerable populations in creating a better life for themselves, and veterans are among the most susceptible to problems like homelessness,” Nancy said. “With this new area of emphasis, Positive Images has the opportunity to greatly increase its impact in the world.”
Positive Images Enterprises will be holding its annual fundraising event and a salute to veterans on November 9 at the Carolina Club in Margate. They accept donations through their website or by calling (954) 484-1824.
