I applaud North Carolina for pioneering the decision to embrace technology, thus ensuring that all children attending school in the state will have the skills and ability to compete in today's knowledge economy.”
Pilot Mountain, NC (PRWEB) April 29, 2013
WebTeach.com™ (http://webteach.com), a leader and innovator in virtual classroom technology, is currently accepting applications for its “NC Classrooms in the Clouds Grant Program". Four North Carolina public schools will be selected to receive two years of unlimited use of the WebTeach virtual classroom Enterprise platform for its administrators, educators and students.
The WebTeach.com license grant program assists schools in the acquisition and delivery of anywhere, anytime digital learning technology without adding cost centers to budgets that are already stretched thinly.
In February of this year, the General Assembly of North Carolina adopted house bills 23 and 44, directing the State Board of Education to develop and implement digital teaching and learning standards for teachers and school administrators to ensure provision of high‑quality, integrated digital teaching and learning to all students.
"WebTeach.com was founded with the purpose of providing educators and students of all ages a 21st century education market place where they could engage in world class, real time virtual classroom technology to enhance their educational experiences and goals,” says JW Ray, President and CEO of WebTeach.com. “Moreover, as a North Carolina based business, we wanted to establish a meaningful way to give back to the community. As a parent of two children attending public school, I applaud North Carolina for pioneering the decision to embrace technology, thus ensuring that all children attending school in the state will have the skills and ability to compete in today's knowledge economy.”
Designed to empower educators and learners of all ages and stages, WebTeach.com participants can create and engage in best of class education experiences that can take place anywhere, anytime using virtually any web enabled device such as desktop computers, tablets or smartphones.
