Wisconsin Dells, WI (PRWEB) April 25, 2013

Li’l squirts visiting the Wilderness Territory this summer now have something new to look forward to. The resort announced today it is constructing a new Bear Foot Island Sprayground in its New Frontier outdoor waterpark located behind the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort.

This splash-tastic area will have woodsy-themed spraying fountains, exploding ground geysers, shooting water jets and other fun water play features such as a giant drenching bull frog loop and a silly spraying water bug. It will also have abundant seating surrounding it making it an ideal spot for parents to relax and enjoy a warm summer day at the Wilderness.

The new attraction, like all waterparks on the Wilderness Territory, will only be available to guests of the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, Wilderness on the Lake and Glacier Canyon Lodge properties.

According to Joe Eck, general manager for the Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, “Last year we catered to dare devils with the addition of the Lunar Loop and Cosmic Drop extreme thrills slides. So this year, we thought it was only fitting to focus our attention on the li’l squirts in the family with a fun, new zero-depth sprayground! At the Wilderness, we truly make it a priority to have attractions that appeal to everyone in your family regardless of their age!”

The Lunar Loop and Cosmic Drop extreme slides were unveiled in the Lost World Waterpark at Glacier Canyon Lodge in 2012. The Lunar Loop propels daring guests at speeds of nearly 40 mph into a nearly vertical spiral over the Lost World Adventure River while the Cosmic Drop is a straight five-story plunge that feels like a heart-pounding free fall.

The Wilderness Territory consists of over 600 wooded acres in Wisconsin Dells and is home to Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort, which features 444 guest rooms, 40 vacation villas, 76 Frontier Condominiums and 35 cabins.
