Nashville, TN (PRWEB) April 26, 2013

With all the talk about Traditional Country Music being abandoned by many record labels and recording artists, Norm Daniels, founder of ParamountSong.com, has decided it's time to launch an effort to help preserve the great traditions begun by Jimmie Rodgers and Hank Williams and carried forward by artists such as Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, George Strait and Alan Jackson.

Through a special arrangement with StarTune® Records, the Internet record label, Paramountsong.com is set to produce a special series of albums of Traditional Country Music.

These special albums will feature the work of songwriters and lyricists who work with ParamountSong as well as writers who haven't yet promoted their work through ParamountSong, but would like to be a part of this special traditional country effort.

The series of albums will be placed on I-Tunes and Amazon MP3, making the albums and songs on them available for download throughout the world.

In addition to I-Tunes and Amazon, the albums will be promoted on StarTune.com. Placing the albums on the StarTune® website gives extra emphasis to the music it features and makes participating songwriters easier to find in the leading digital music stores.

“Many writers and fans have contacted ParamountSong with complaints about the state of Traditional Country. They complain that country music has all gone not just country pop, but all the way pop. There are some rays of hope, however. The recent number 1 hit "Cowboys and Angels," a decidedly Traditional Country song, showed that radio will still play and fans will buy Traditional Country when the record labels put out good songs. And of course, the Grand Ole Opry still is going strong with lots of the good stuff,” says Daniels.

The drive for submissions of Traditional Country songs to be included in this effort has begun. News will be in the ParamountSong.com blog, newsletters and additional news releases. All songwriters and lyricists throughout the world are invited to submit.

ParamountSong, the songwriter's Nashville Connection since 1983, has placed hundreds of writers in the major digital record stores through StarTune®, the all-digital Internet record label. While the label accepts music of all genres, this effort will exclusively feature Traditional Country.

ParamountSong will provide co-writers for lyricists, and production if needed, for all writers. Submissions are being reviewed at ParamountSong.com/contact-us and at http://www.startune.com/startune/contact/
