The Ballston Innovation Initiative (“Bi2”) announces the lead speakers for its upcoming Bi2 Bootcamp: Doing Business with the Federal Government, to be held May 11th, 2013 on the main campus of Marymount University. The one day educational event brings together recognized experts in business establishment, Federal contracting rules, business valuation and business development, to provide attendees with practical and actionable advice and content. The Bi2 Bootcamp is intended to assist individuals who are seeking to create their first business selling to the Federal Government, as well as help existing businesses prepare to enter into the government business sector. The announced speakers for the Bi2 Bootcamp include:
- The Honorable Tom Davis – former Virginia Congressman and Chairman of the House Government Reform Committee – currently the Director of Federal Government Affairs for Deloitte & Touche LLP.
- Richard Rector, Chair of the Government Contract practice group of DLA Piper.

- Bob Kipps, founder of KippsDeSanto & Co.
- Ted Segal, Chair of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of the Washington Office of Stradley Ronon.
