InventHelp, America’s largest inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Florida, has designed a device that would remove the need to raise and lower the toilet seat and lid with one’s hand. This invention is patented.
“Mescot” incorporates a pedal system that would enable a user to lift and lower the lid, as well as flush the toilet, by pressing a pedal. The design would limit a user’s contact with germs on the toilet seat, as well as enhance the cleanliness of the bathroom. The unit is also adaptable for use with existing toilets. Mescot would be ideal for elderly individuals and individuals with limited mobility.
Mescot would consist of a pedal system for lifting and lowering the toilet seat and lid, as well as flushing the toilet. Foot pedals would be positioned at the base of the toilet in the front. The pedals would connect to mechanisms housed inside the rear of the toilet below the cistern. The mechanisms extend from the base of the toilet and connect via chrome pipes to the toilet seat and seat cover. A mechanism also extends from the base into the cistern to control the flushing of the toilet. The lid would feature a handle positioned on the underside near the front to enable a user to lift the seat without using the pedals. A stopper would be positioned on the front of the cistern to prevent the lid from damaging the cistern or make a noise when it is lifted. Variations of Mescot would consist of single pedal versions, as well as a toilet that features a hand-actuated pedal.
InventHelp is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 07-MIM-3114 at (800) 851-6030.
