As part of National Distracted Driving Awareness Month, Rosco Vision Systems participated in the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Distracted Driving Technology Showcase on April 19th in Washington, DC. The Distracted Driving Technology Showcase is part of the FCC's campaign to end the harmful and sometimes fatal consequences of texting while driving. Rosco Vision Systems demonstrated the Dual-Vision™ XC Continuous Automotive Event Recorder, answered questions and provided information on the dangers of texting while driving, along with other distracted driving behaviors. Numerous other technology companies, state and local government agencies were also represented.
“Over the past 6 years, Rosco has become the leader in windshield based automotive event recorders through its ability to offer a continuous and event video-based solution with no monthly fees,” said Peter Plate, Rosco’s Director of Sales & Marketing. “Rosco continues to invest in its products and services, resulting in new innovations that focus on preventing distracted driving behavior and protecting fleets from false insurance claims.”
Dual-Vision™ XC assists commercial drivers in following federal laws regarding hand-held devices. Failure-to-comply distracted driving fines negatively impact drivers and businesses, with potential fees in the tens of thousands of dollars. Rosco Vision Systems products, from continuous automotive event recorders, backup camera systems, to rearview mirror systems, provide real value for fleets.
