HindSite Software today announced the release of their first annual Snow Industry Benchmark Survey. The 32-question survey, which takes about ten minutes to complete, asks a series of questions related to business practices, marketing practices, snow removal software usage and business results.
In June, the company plans to release a Snow Industry Benchmark Report detailing the survey results. The benchmark report will be designed to help snow removal businesses better understand how they compare to their competitors and take steps to better compete with their peers.
“We’re based in St. Paul, MN, so snow removal is a big business in our hometown,” explains HindSite’s Marketing Manager, Chad Reinholz. “But we found that there was a dearth of information on exactly what these snow plowing businesses were doing, how they were performing and what they were doing to grow their business.”
In March, HindSite released a similar benchmark report for the green industry. Based on responses from more than 300 green industry businesses, it’s been downloaded hundreds of times and used by contractors to better understand their competition. Reinholz also presented a webinar to PLANET members on seven things businesses could learn from the report.
“Our Green Industry Benchmark Report was so wildly successful, that we decided the snow industry could use that same type of analysis,” explains Reinholz. “We hope the snow industry embraces the benchmark report as well as the green industry did. It became a valuable resource to many.”
