The Livermore wine festival is a great opportunity to have family fun in the Bay Area.
Livermore, CA (PRWEB) April 26, 2013
Thousands of people looking for fun things to do in the Bay Area are estimated to flock to the nationally acclaimed downtown Livermore on May 4 and 5, 2013 for the 22nd Annual Livermore Wine Country Festival.
Fifteen city blocks of Livermore’s pedestrian-friendly downtown area will be dedicated to showcasing local California wineries, craft brews, arts and crafts vendors, food vendors, restaurants and live entertainment.
The highlight of the event will be getting to try the 40+ Livermore Valley wines and local craft brews featured in four locations for tasting: Livermore Valley Plaza, Livermore Avenue between First Street and Railroad Avenue, First and L Street, and First and O Street.
And since live entertainment pairs perfectly with great wine, there will be six stages of live music filling the downtown streets. There will also be over 250 local and national arts and crafts vendors showing off their handmade creations, and traditional festival fare available for delicious nibbles.
After checking out the vendors, stop by some of the many specialty boutiques and local businesses for excellent shopping and opportunities to win special giveaways, deals and unique experiences that showcase the amazing downtown Livermore location.
This popular East Bay event isn’t just for adults. “The Livermore wine festival is a great opportunity to have family fun in the Bay Area,” says Rachael Snedecor, executive director of Livermore Downtown, Inc. “There will be an area with rides and games just for kids, so everyone can have a good time.”
Once the kids have had their fill of fun and it comes time to fuel up on some of the tastiest local eats, sit outdoors or in at one of the many downtown Livermore restaurants that will be serving up globally inspired and locally enhanced dishes to satisfy any craving.
“Our streets and sidewalks are lined with outdoor dining, offering culinary excellence from our local restaurants,” says Rachael Snedecor, executive director of Livermore Downtown, Inc. “And if you choose to get in out of the sun, our dining rooms range from casual fun to graceful elegance.”
From the food to the wine, the 22nd Livermore Wine Country Festival is a can’t-miss Bay Area event. Bring the entire family or just a few friends for a weekend of fun in the sun.
