ActionPacked! Networks, a Cisco Developer Network partner, today announced its LiveAction network management tool successfully completed Cisco Interoperability Verification Testing (IVT) to become the first third-party software tool to acquire Cisco Application Visibility and Control (AVC) IVT certification. This recognition demonstrates ActionPacked! Networks leadership and LiveAction innovation of providing simple and effective solutions that are interoperable and compatible with Cisco technologies.

The AVC interoperability verification tests focused mainly on router configuration impacting real-time and historical reports provided by LiveAction relating to QoS, Performance Monitoring (PerfMon), and Performance Routing (PfR). The stringent testing included application monitoring with Netflow for application response time measurements and media monitoring for voice and video.

The AVC IVT verifies LiveAction’s rich QoS functionality to identify specific applications with NBAR2 and validated LiveAction’s comprehensive QoS control through its QoS management map, class map, and access control lists (ACL) configuration features as well as LiveAction’s QoS monitoring real-time interface view, alerting mechanism, and historical reporting.

“With Cisco ISR running Application Visibility and Control at our offices and LiveAction management solution from ActionPacked! Networks at our data center, we are able to proactively isolate performance issues before they impact productivity,” said William Bordeau, systems administrator, Boxwood Technology. “Voice and data issues that took hours or even days to resolve before can now be addressed in minutes."

LiveAction AVC IVT certification compliments ActionPacked! Networks current list of Cisco interoperability verification and testing honors and recognition, including Medianet Systems Management and Medianet Media Services Interface IVT certifications.
