PYA’s timely whitepaper, “Medicare ACO Road Map,” outlines the upcoming deadlines for ACO participation in the 2013 MSSP and provides a guide to ACO formation and operation, shared savings payments, and other ACO options—private payors.
In addition to the whitepaper, PYA is providing the MSSP ACO Development Task List. “The task list offers a simple table of the tasks, target dates, and additional information that will assist providers as they organize their planning efforts,” said PYA Principal Martie Ross. “With all of the new guidance handed down by CMS over the last few weeks, ACOs will need to accelerate their planning efforts to meet the important deadlines that are quickly approaching.”
CMS recently announced a July 31 deadline for application for the 2014 MSSP program and a May 31 deadline to file a “Notice of Intent.” Failure to meet these and other deadlines in the process would disqualify organizations from MSSP participation in 2014.
Both tools may be found on the PYA website, along with PYA’s Bridging Business & Healthcare Blog, which gives further information on the MSSP. These tools are also attached for your convenience.
