Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) April 26, 2013

LeaseHawk founder, Mike Mueller, has used his vision to change the apartment industry through innovative technology solutions. Now, Mueller has taken his cutting-edge approach and experience to the medical research arena by assisting in the creation of MindCrowd, a collaborative effort among leading scientific research institutions and organizations including the Translational Genomics Institute (TGen).

MindCrowd is a first-of-its-kind web-based memory study to identify cognitive performance outliers and to better understand their genetic differences and the first research project of its kind to study millions of individuals by harnessing the power of the Internet. The data collected will help researchers better understand and treat Alzheimer’s disease and other brain-related disorders. The goal is to have one million people ages 18 to 80 take the test and participate in future studies.

The use of technology to gather information, analyze results and produce improvement, made MindCrowd the perfect cause for LeaseHawk employees to embrace and support at an individual level. The LeaseHawk corporate team visited TGen and were the first alpha testers of the online test. They also met with MindCrowd founder and principal investigator, Dr. Matt Huentelman, for a tour and insight into the project and the groundbreaking work being conducted at TGen. Afterward, LeaseHawk employees used social media to encourage friends and colleagues to take the test and initially spread the word.

Mueller, who provided funding for the MindCrowd project, is looking to leverage his work with MindCrowd with the apartment industry at the Apartment Internet Marketing Conference (AIM) on April 29 in Huntington Beach, Calif. There will be more than 500 marketing professionals in attendance who will be invited to visit the LeaseHawk business lounge to learn more and get involved by visiting http://www.mindcrowd.org to take the memory test – and challenge friends and colleagues to do the same.
