Inogen has been named a recipient of a 2013 World Trade Week Export Achievement Award. The award recognizes companies that have demonstrated success in exporting over the course of the past two years. In an increasingly connected global economy, Inogen stands out above the crowd in their ability to connect with oxygen users.
2013 will mark the 87th year of the World Trade Week, originally conceived by the trade department in the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. It was started as a way to focus attention on the contributions of area businesses in international trade, and its influence on the regional economy. Today, World Trade Week consists of a series of over 30 events and programs held throughout the month of May. WTW “dedicates itself to educating the public on the importance and benefits of global trade on the local and national economy”. Inogen has been a part of the Southern California economic community since 2001.
“We are honored and appreciative to be receiving this award,” said Inogen Director of Operations Matt Scribner. "Inogen’s mission is to provide freedom and independence to all those needing oxygen therapy and we have made great strides this past year providing thousands of patients throughout the world with a device that dramatically improves their quality of life. We are extremely proud, as a growing company, of this accomplishment."
Inogen is set to accept their 2013 Export Achievement Award on Thursday, May 2nd at the J.W. Marriott in Los Angeles.
