DALLAS, TX (PRWEB) April 30, 2013
iSIGHT Partners, the leader in global cyber intelligence, announced today that it will be granted U.S. Patent No. 8,438,644 which broadly covers the methods for a technology platform that maps cyber threat intelligence data to network security protection and detection systems. iSIGHT Partners' Cyber Risk Management System (“iCRMS”), now three years in development, applies the techniques and processes covered by this patent as part of a proprietary technology platform that will provide both enterprises and government agencies with unprecedented decision support, enabling them to derive optimal value from their cyber security investments. At its core, iCRMS will marry an incident indicator to a threat indicator. That union maps back to the actual attack method and the associated adversary, which allows the enterprise to apply an impact value to an indicator and connect a technical cyber security event to the actual business impact it represents.
”Unless you can connect an actual event, that you can trigger in your security infrastructure, to the context of the attack method that it represents and the objectives of the adversary behind the attack method, you have no idea how to measure ROI in that infrastructure or the people that are managing it,” said iSIGHT Partners CEO John Watters. “iCRMS will be the first platform of its kind to provide this 360 degree visibility.”
The iCRMS platform is scheduled to come online in Q4 of this year.
