Victory At Sea is hoping to make a big splash

We are mobile game players as well as developers and we have always been desperate to play a strategy game with real meat on our phones. Victory At Sea seemed like the perfect vehicle for us to make that happen.

Swindon, Wiltshire (PRWEB) April 29, 2013

iEvilGames and Mongoose Publishing have announced a new Kickstarter Campaign coming May 1st based around Mongoose's popular WW2 tabletop battle game, Victory At Sea.

They plan to make a big splash with an aim to turn Victory At Sea into a mobile game for iOS & Android platforms.

Along with funders being able to get in at the start of the game’s development and get involved in shaping the mobile game from the ground up, the bid is also offering some truly unique pledge items. These include one off customised desktop versions of the game, the chance to get your name and likeness in the game, as well as a Victory at Sea Naval dice combat game designed exclusively by Mongoose Publishing for the Kickstarter bid.

What is Victory at Sea?

VICTORY AT SEA is a naval combat game for iPhone, iPad, iPod and Android devices where players take command of huge fleets in a desperate struggle to win out and out victory in World War 2.

Players navigate fleets around the Atlantic, Pacific and the Mediterranean theatres of war and engage in real time epic naval combat.

Victory at Sea combines a simple touch control system with a large and detailed campaign that contains vast numbers of historically accurate ship variants, the likes of which have never been seen before on a mobile device. Victory at Sea will be easy to play but difficult to master and will be one of the largest and most engaging war combat games ever on handheld platforms.

The team has been developing for mobile devices since the beginning of the app store and are gamers with a penchant for something a little more strategic.

James Carroll of iEvilGames has big plans for Victory At Sea, "We are mobile game players as well as developers and we have always been desperate to play a strategy game with real meat on our phones. Victory At Sea seemed like the perfect vehicle for us to make that happen."

Victory at Sea is already a highly successful table top game made by Mongoose Publishing, the company behind the Judge Dredd Miniatures Game, A Call to Arms: Star Fleet and Babylon 5: A Call to Arms games.

The mobile version of Victory at Sea will encapsulate the vast amounts of information behind the table top game which promises an large and in depth gaming experience. The iOS & Android versions will also inherit the fast flowing rules that allow novices and veteran gamers alike to enjoy recreating the epic struggles between the mighty fleets of the era.
