Twenty-four members of CREW Network (http://www.crewnetwork.org) across the United States, including presidents, past presidents and other leaders of the Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Miami chapters, have nominated commercial real estate attorney J.J. Sherman of Law Offices of J.J. Sherman, P.C. (http://www.jjshermanlaw.com) to receive the 2013 CREW Network Impact Award for Entrepreneurial Spirit. The nomination by so many members champions CREW Network’s mission to influence the success of the commercial real industry by advancing the achievements of women. The winner of the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award will be announced at the CREW Network Annual Convention in Dallas, Texas in October 2013.
The Entrepreneurial Spirit Award honors a CREW Network member who has achieved a unique career success or milestone in the past 24 months as the result of an exceptional entrepreneurial spirit. This person is often a risk taker and is willing to step outside the box to create something new or different. They provide services, develop products, or improve practices by innovatively organizing, developing, or deploying available resources, either within their own company or a larger organization.
After nearly a decade working at legal powerhouses Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and Latham & Watkins LLP, in October 2009, J.J. Sherman founded her boutique law firm, Law Offices of J.J. Sherman, P.C., in Los Angeles. She actively works with clients doing business in California and has expanded the firm to the Washington D.C. area to cater to clients doing business on the East Coast.

J.J. Sherman obtained her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law in New York, and was the recipient of numerous academic honors including the Kenneth Wang Fellowship and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Graduation Award. J.J. received a Bachelor of Arts degree summa cum laude in Theater and History from Marymount Manhattan College in New York.
In recognition of her community service, J.J. Sherman received the Spirit of Excellence Award from the award-winning theater company, Take Wing And Soar Productions, Inc., a New York City not-for-profit arts organization.
Ms. Sherman is admitted to practice law in California, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
