BayNexus, a privately held, worldwide provider of RFID-based healthcare solutions, announced today the launch of its BN-HH-G2 reader, the industry’s most compact handheld RFID reader for healthcare applications. The reader is compatible with BayNexus’ line of RFID bracelets and other RFID tags used to manage patient records, healthcare services, and healthcare-related assets.
The new reader seamlessly integrates with hospitals’ electronic medical records solutions, and BayNexus provides a convenient middleware solution for healthcare integrators and providers. The reader also supports barcodes as well as 802.11 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cellular wireless interfaces for connecting to healthcare networks in real time, both locally and remotely.
“Our new handheld reader will significantly improve healthcare operations and help eliminate errors,” said Jason Liu, Founder and CEO of BayNexus. “Our reader is smaller, lighter and more powerful than comparable products currently available to healthcare workers.”
“We are pleased with our two-year collaboration with BayNexus to implement our medical management system with RFID technology and prevent accidents,” said Mr. Setoyama Ryuhei, Honorary Director of Sanraku Hospital in Tokyo, Japan.
The BN-HH-G2 was selected as a finalist for the RFID Journal Award, Best in Show Product category, at the upcoming RFID Journal Live Trade Show in Orlando, April 30 through May 2. BayNexus will be exhibiting at the show (booth #235).
