SAE International presents a free, one-hour webcast that explores how adhesives and surface treatments can enable automotive suppliers and manufacturers to overcome the unique challenges that certain materials such as aluminum can present while contributing to a smaller environmental footprint.
“Enabling Vehicle Lightweighting with Advancements in Surface Treatment and Adhesive Technologies” will take place Tuesday, April 30 at 11 a.m. (EDT).
Every aspect of today’s vehicle is being re-examined to meet 2025 Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards. The introduction of new lightweight, mixed materials can reduce vehicle mass but also presents processing, compatibility, and bonding challenges.
