Gail Kent, president of the Hampton Roads marketing and PR firm, The Buzz Factoree, has won a first-place award in the 2013 Virginia Press Women Communication Contest.
The award, which recognized the firm’s animated holiday greeting, was for the category “videos for websites/special interest.” The video was launched through a customized email campaign in December 2012.
The Buzz Factoree, LLC, is a boutique marketing and PR that specializes in inbound marketing and lead generation. The firm works with healthcare enterprises, non-profits, government and SMBs to differentiate their organizations through storytelling and attracting leads using PR and content creation. The Buzz Factoree uses the inbound methodology of attract-convert-close-delight to move strangers through the life cycle to customers and then evangelists.
Kent, a former journalist with three decades of experience as a writer, marketer and PR pro, has won more than 350 regional, state and national awards for her work in communications. Before forming The Buzz Factoree in 2006, Kent served as marketing director for several Virginia universities and healthcare systems.
Virginia Press Women is an affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women. All state-level first-place award-winning entries will be forwarded to the national-level communications competition, and winners of that contest will be announced this summer.
