Covideo® powered by EasyCare®, a leading innovator of video email services for dealership communications, announced an update to its mobile app that enables Covideos to be sent as text messages (SMS) in addition to emails. The app is currently available on iPhone, iPad and Android devices for dealerships enjoying the Covideo® powered by EasyCare® benefit.
“Today's customer prefers text messages for quick communications. We all know the customer relationship is more personal than that. We've married the two by giving the customer the ability to receive a Covideo text,” stated Larry Dorfman, Chairman/CEO of Covideo® powered by EasyCare®. “Dealership users who currently have the Covideo app installed will receive a notification that an update is available. After applying the update, dealership personnel can use the app to record and send a Covideo to their customers who will then receive that Covideo as a text message. We always strive to give more. The ability to send Covideos via SMS opens up many new possibilities to improve customer interaction, both in sales and on the service drive.”
Texting takes less time than emailing. Many consumers prefer its speed and convenience. When a Covideo is sent as a text, the Covideo is uploaded to a server and sent as a hyperlink. The Covideo is streamed, with no large file to transfer over text. The new Covideo texting feature allows service advisors and technicians to show and explain additional services available to a customer after inspecting their vehicle. The texting feature can also be used for new or used vehicle walk-a-rounds and for following up on initial conversations with customers looking to purchase a vehicle.
“Since Covideo has transitioned into the service department, the presentation of an up-sell has become significantly more personal. We have seen it double the take rate on upgraded service purchases. It builds trust and credibility when a customer can quickly view the wear and tear on their brakes in a Covideo,” said Jason Price, President of Covideo® powered by EasyCare®. “Personal Covideos from the service department increase customer engagement and capture your customer’s attention. We also customize background templates for all of our dealer customers. The communication is interactive with links to inventory, service appointments, and more,” Price added.
Covideo is offering dealers a 10-day free trial of the mobile app. To request this free trial, email covideo(at)easycare(dot)com.
The mobile app will also be demonstrated at booth 731 at the upcoming Digital Dealer Conference and Exposition in Orlando, FL, May 7-9, 2013. For more information call 888-327-9400, or visit http://www.covideo.com/auto.
