Allied Mortgage Group, a leading mortgage banker based in Bala Cynwyd, Pa, has announced today the appointment of Mark Smyth as its Director of Affinity Lending. Allied Mortgage Group’s Affinity Lending division provides end-to-end mortgage process management and financing to clients of financial planners, banks and credit unions. Reporting to the company’s Vice President of Strategic Initiatives Bob Wexler, Mark will manage the day-to-day operation of the new Affinity Lending Division including all mortgage originations and client management.
“Mark has deep experience in the co-branded and private label mortgage process. His experience in this space brings core strength to the company and is an important part of our strategy for the future,” said Bob Wexler. “His experience in private label, co-brand, eCommerce and business development will properly position the company for growth beyond the refinance market.”
Prior to joining Allied Mortgage Group, Mr. Smyth served as Senior Product Manager at E*TRADE Financial where he was responsible for the entire retail branch mortgage process as well as supporting the network of Financial Advisors across the country. Mr. Smyth also served as the National Sales Account Manager for PHH Mortgage where he managed client relationships with banks, credit unions and global financial institutions. He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University.
