TIP Solutions (http://www.tipsolutions.com), a Chicago-based software company building a patented set of software and firmware technologies around call management, announced today that it has entered into an agreement to purchase US Patent #6,927,684, titled SUBNET ADDRESSABLE RADIO ACTIVATED SWITCH. A wireless telecommunications patent, it is being sold by lead inventor Victor Joyner and James Clarke both of Chicago, IL. The specific terms of the agreement between the parties are confidential.
This patent adds diversity to TIP’s existing patent portfolio which focuses on intellectual property related to inventions around the phone call. TIP intends to expand the size and scope of their portfolio by filing additional patent applications arising from ongoing research and innovation involving the underlying technologies.
TIP Founder and CEO John Braun said, “We are very pleased to sign our first patent acquisition with such a high quality patent. There are a lot of different uses with your mobile phone today besides making a phone call, and we feel like this mobile technology patent is something special. We’ll look to pursue licensing arrangements with this patent.”
